About Christina M Cawley, DO

Dr. Cawley is a fellowship trained hand surgeon with 30 years of military service who helps patients understand their conditions and make the best choices. Her impressive career includes positions at the Lebanon VA and Walter Reed, three tours in Afghanistan, and a number of surgical faculty positions. She is currently on the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery.

She holds a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City, Missouri. Dr. Cawley completed an M.S. in physical therapy at Columbia University College of Physical Therapy and a B.S. in psychology and sports medicine at St. Lawrence University. Her fellowship in hand surgery was completed at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Dr. Cawley is board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery.

Dr. Cawley has one daughter and three dogs. She’s lived in Maine, Hawaii, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Now, in Virginia, she appreciates being close to the water again.
