About Anna Ilona Jaybanks, MD

Anna I. Jaybanks, M.D., is an infectious disease doctor who treats a wide range of Infectious diseases including human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), blood stream infections, urinary tract infections (UTIs) and diabetic foot infections, among many other conditions. Dr. Jaybanks listens, empathizes and collaborates with patients. She takes pride in working with her staff to find creative solutions to patients' unique needs. 

Dr. Jaybanks earned a Bachelor of Science in mathematics from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. She then earned her medical degree from the University of Central Florida in Orlando. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. She finished an Infectious Disease fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas. She is board certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine.  

Outside of work, Dr. Jaybanks enjoys making the most of coastal Virginia’s proximity to mountains and water. Her hobbies include sailing and hiking. She also loves spending time with her dogs.
