About Aida Atiq, MD

Dr. Atiq earned her medical degree from Sindh Medical College in Pakistan, remaining there to complete internships in internal medicine and pediatrics. She completed Riverside Health System’s family medicine residency program in Newport News, in affiliation with Virginia Commonwealth University. Dr. Atiq is board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.

Dr. Atiq enjoys long-term relationships with patients of all ages and their families, believing that those relationships provide a healthy environment for medical care. She strives to positively impact her patients' lives by managing chronic medical issues, providing education and focusing on preventive care. She supports her patients through their weight loss journeys by helping them overcome obstacles and promotes continued learning in her role as an active faculty member for medical students.

Originally from Pakistan, Dr. Atiq now enjoys living in Hampton Roads where she can be close to nature and the beach. She and her husband have two daughters and one son. In her free time, Dr. Atiq loves cooking and traveling.
