About Tammy Alayne Hedspeth, FNP

Tammy earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing and a Master of Science in nursing from the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Nursing in Richmond. She is board certified as a family nurse practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

With her many years of primary care experience as a nurse practitioner, Tammy finds joy in coming to work each day and establishing lasting relationships with her patients — often caring for multiple family members across generations. She believes health care should be patient-centered and based on teamwork to develop a treatment plan that best benefits the individual patient.

Tammy’s expertise covers a diverse patient population, from preventative care to a variety of acute and chronic medical issues. She has a particular interest in helping patients with multiple chronic health conditions.While growing up in Virginia Beach, Tammy spent time on Virginia’s Eastern Shore every summer. Today she enjoys the Shore’s close-knit community, slow pace of life and kind people. Tammy loves fishing and boating on the Chesapeake Bay and seaside inlets. She has eight nieces and nephews in Virginia Beach, where her entire family resides.
