About Soquel C Rey, MD

Soquel C. Rey, M.D., is a family medicine physician specializing in common skin conditions, women’s health, nutrition and lifestyle medicine. She delivers patient-centered care for adults, emphasizing long-term health and individualized goals 

Dr. Rey earned a Bachelor of Science in exercise science from Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, Michigan, and a Doctor of Medicine from Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk. She completed her family medicine residency at Riverside Family Medicine Residency in Newport News. She is board certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine. 

Dr. Rey’s care philosophy centers on prevention. She believes the most effective care occurs when patients are well-informed, supported and actively involved in decisions about their health.  

When she’s not at work, Dr. Rey is an avid gardener and enjoys staying active by hiking, kayaking, fishing, and practicing yoga.
