About Sohini Majumdar, MD
Dr. Majumdar earned her medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine. She completed a family medicine residency in Newport News with Riverside Health System and Virginia Commonwealth University in 2009. Dr. Majumdar is board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.
In addition to her medical practice, Dr. Majumdar serves as a clinical professor for Riverside Health System’s family medicine residency program, and as an assistant professor for the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine Department of Family Medicine.
Born in India, Dr. Majumdar has lived in multiple places across the U.S. before moving to Virginia, her home now for more than 20 years. She is an alumna of the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg. Outside of work, Dr. Majumdar enjoys spending time with her husband and family.
