About Rafic H. Zaitoun, MD

Dr. Zaitoun completed his undergraduate degree at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond. Subsequently, he completed his medical degree, internship, residency, and fellowship in cardiovascular diseases at the Medical College of Virginia. He completed an interventional cardiovascular fellowship at St. Luke's Medical Center in Milwaukee, WI.

Dr. Zaitoun is Board Certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular diseases. He has been practicing cardiology since 1990. Dr. Zaitoun's current practice includes non-invasive, invasive, and interventional cardiology, including peripheral interventions.

Besides going over the EKG finidings taken during this office visit. Dr. Zaitoun reviewed EKG, blood panel, and metabolic panel summary reports taken by another medical professional in the prior two weeks. The tests were pre-op procedure for a hernia procedure. Dr. Zaitoun graciously and patiently went over summaries, addressed (thankfully mild) abnormal results, and explained and helped allay some concerns. I am grateful for the extra attention he paid me.
