About Heather Michelle Cook, FNP-BC

Heather Cook is a board-certified family nurse practitioner focusing on urology with special emphasis on overactive bladder, urinary incontinence and nocturia (excessive urination at night). She is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

Heather completed a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Liberty University and has worked as a registered nurse for a decade in both acute and primary care. She is a member of the American Urological Association and the Virginia Council of Nurse Practitioners.

After her own encounter with urological health conditions, Heather chose to work in urology because she wants to help patients address their urological concerns and improve their quality of life. She believes healthcare is collaborative and that providers and patients must work together to address health issues and to promote physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing.

She was born and raised in Hampton and appreciates living close to family and visiting the mountains. Heather and her husband love to spoil their two dogs and explore local historical sites. In her free time, she enjoys reading mystery and thrillers, viewing documentaries and shopping.
