About Dwayne David North, DO
After earning his medical degree from the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2015, Dr. North completed a general surgery residency at Cleveland Clinic’s South Pointe Hospital in 2020. He is eligible for board certification by the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery.
Dr. North couldn’t imagine doing anything else with his career other than being a general surgeon. His love for this specialty stems from the opportunity to practice preventative medicine, heal using his hands and technical skills and manage emergencies with immediate results. An approachable physician, Dr. North makes it his mission to treat everyone like family so that he always gives patients his best.
Dr. North’s areas of special interest include intra-abdominal and colorectal surgical procedures, minimally invasive and open hernia repairs, breast cancer surgery, gastrointestinal screening procedures, dialysis access procedures and anti-reflux procedures.
Dr. North, his wife and their two children are pleased to be part of the Middle Peninsula community. They find the residents friendly, courteous and welcoming and enjoy exploring the area’s hiking trails, water and local attractions together. Dr. North’s favorite hobbies include reading historical books, traveling, cooking, gardening, playing sports and serving on medical mission trips.
