MHLbannersmallMy Healthy Lifestyle brings Riverside team members interesting and useful information to support better health and wellness

The year 2014 is moving right along and while February is a time when flowers, chocolate and other Valentine's Day gifts take center stage for the special people in our lives, it's also a time when we should think about anatomical hearts as well the symbolic ones.

Designated as American Heart Month, February is the month for re-focusing our efforts on heart healthy foods and activities. Your My Healthy Lifestyle reminds us of this important health objective and adds a twist with some information on heart "unhealthy" foods that warrants a closer look. You'll also find an interesting article on the relationship between cheese and headaches as well as some up-to-date information on the hazards of prolonged sitting and what you can do to lower your risk for developing a number of health concerns related to too much time in the chair without getting up and moving.

In addition, you'll find some reflections on approaching life by looking through the windshield rather than the rearview mirror. It's all here in your February newsletter along with a helpful employee tip on dancing in the comfort and convenience of your own home.

Our hope as you receive your My Healthy Lifestyle newsletter each month is that you will read it but also respond to it. To provide comments or ideas for future issues, please contact Daniel BallinĀ at
