The best way to stop the spread of COVID-19 is to stay home. It sounds simple, but social distancing is the key to beating the epidemic. Keeping people healthy and out of the hospital is the most important thing that each and every one of us can do. Encouraging your family, friends and neighbors to do the same will help the entire community. Play our video below to learn more about social distancing, and why it's so important.

Here are some simple but effective things we all can do to limit the spread of COVID-19:

  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Clean your hands often. Wash with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds, or use alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60 percent alcohol.
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, throw the tissue in the trash, and wash or sanitize your hands.
  • Practice social distancing by avoiding crowds and keeping a distance between yourself and other people of at least 6 feet.
  • Stay home if you are sick.
