Riverside Regional Medical Center is a Community Based 450-bed hospital and the Peninsula’s only Level II Trauma Center. We are also a recognized Chest Pain Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center. With a diverse patient population, many uninsured or underinsured, we have a positive impact on our community. Given our population and their pathophysiology, our residents will manage complex patients.

You can experience all four seasons, the mountains and the ocean during your time with us. Local public schools are some of the best in Virginia, and the area is family-friendly, with attractions like Busch Gardens and Water Country USA close by.

All applications to our residency program must be submitted through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). We utilize the National Residency Match Program (NRMP) to rank all applicants. We cannot accept applications via email or fax and are unable to respond to any applications outside of ERAS.
