Riverside Regional Medical Center, located in Newport News, Virginia, is currently seeking a Full Time Unit Secretary to join their team.

The Unit Secretary works under the supervision of the Nurse Manager and Registered Nurses and the under the direction of the NM, RN and LPNs. The Unit Secretary is responsible for customer service, chart management, retrieval of reports, and patient care duties. The Unit Secretary is also responsible for performing duties such as ordering supplies, order entry, filing of patient information and follow up to patients and physician offices, and other secretarial/clerical duties as directed.

EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED preferred.

EXPERIENCE: 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology and proficiency in healthcare computer based systems preferred.

HOURS: 7:00 am - 7:00 pm Rotating shifts

iCare Support Technician (Added 5 days ago) (Newport News, Va)

We are looking for individuals who can support the next phase of our iCare / Epic go-live on our Service Desk in a temporary work assignment. As an iCare Support Technician, you will assist our go-live by answering phones on our Service Desk where you will triage incident tickets and phone calls, enter service tickets, perform phone transfers, provide ticket updates, and provide outstanding customer support.

iCare / Epic is new electronic health record and revenue management system at Riverside Health System. The new system is replacing several different legacy systems to create one integrated health record. This will elevate the Riverside Care Difference providing for a more consistent patient experience.

Education: Must have or be in the process of obtaining an Associate's or Bachelor's degree. Must have completed at least 1 year of college. Transcripts will be required.

Certifications: IT certifications preferred.

Experience: prior customer service experience and phone work is a plus. Computer skills is a plus.

Additional Position Information:

Current Riverside Employees are not eligible for these positions. They are temporary full time positions working 40 hours per week throughout the month of June primarily evening and night shift.

Shifts will be M-F:

oDay: 6:30am-3:30pm

oEvening: 3pm-12am

oNights: 11:30pm-7am

Saturday through Sunday:

o7am-3:30pm

o3pm-11pm

o11pm-7:30am

Location: Data Center at 1300 Old Denbigh Blvd, Newport News, VA

Must be available for pre-employment appointments with Riverside Employee Health and Riverside Talent Recruitment Center on May 9 or May 16 at 1pm.

Must be available for 8 hours of training. Training sessions are held on May 23, 24, 25, and 30th. iCare Support Techs must attend at least 1 of these sessions.

Full time work will begin in June.
