Ehsun Oladunni Enilari, MD, MPH, Director, Medical Intensive Care Unit

Nothing brings me more joy than seeing a critically ill patient get better and walk out of our ICU. I attribute this to the great collaboration of the ICU team. Everyone plays a vital role in the recovery of our patients. The dedication of the physicians, nurses, pharmacists, dieticians, case managers, unit secretaries and environmental staff is exceptional. The patient’s win is OUR win! .

Ehsun Mirza, MD., Service Line Chief Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine

I love Critical Care medicine because I feel I help save lives directly with my team. It’s a huge collaboration between the ICU nurses, doctors, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, IT, supply chain, cleaning crew, dietary and administration, along with multiple other medical and surgical disciplines. ICU truly is a melting pot of very high efficiency folks who love what they do and do what they love. They are very very good at it.

Here at RIVHS, I’ve been very fortunate to be around some very talented and motivational folks who want to do better for their community and organization. They have made me a better person, physician and leader. We are very close to our community because we are also that community. Our patients are our co-workers, our neighbors, our community members. We meet them outside the hospitals as not patients but as regular folks. We are the community.
