Our team members are the heart of Riverside. We are grateful for their continued dedication and compassion to serve one another and care for our patients and community.
From cleaning and sanitizing rooms to providing meals, from answering incoming calls to caring for those who are critically ill, from supply delivery to security and protection, our team members excel both on the front lines and behind the scenes. We are thankful. And we are grateful.
Watch some of our team member stories and hear from them about what it means to be #RiversideStrong.
Mary Riddick
Certified Nursing Assistant
Mary works at Riverside Rehabilitation Center in Smithfield. In rehabilitation, she encounters patients every day with different needs and conditions. She enjoys seeing patients progress in the journey of recovery.
"I love it here because it is family-oriented, from the patients to my coworker, they are my second family."
Kenneth Dryden
Medical Laboratory Technician
Kenneth works at Riverside Walter Reed Hospital (RWRH) as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) performing laboratory tests and procedures. As a MLT, Kenneth puts on his detective hat and looks for critical clues to determine the absence or presence of disease. The results found through laboratory testing are then used by our providers to determine the appropriate treatment plan for each patient.
Tanail Hill
Supply Chain Technician
Tanail works at Riverside Regional Medical Center as a Supply Chain Technician. Every day looks a little different for Tanail. But one thing is for certain, from the time she arrives till the time she leaves, she is working hard to make sure our team members have the supplies they need to care for our patients.
Steven Hogue
Environmental Services Aide
Steven works at Riverside Walter Reed Hospital (RWRH) as an Environmental Services Aid (EVS) to ensure a sterile environment for patients and staff. Among the many essential workers putting themselves at risk during the COVID-19 pandemic are environmental services (EVS) workers, Steven faces considerable challenges every day in the ICU. His tasks, which are critical to providing safe and high-quality care, consist of thoroughly disinfecting all surfaces in patients' rooms that might spread infection, as well as cleaning beds and equipment, taking out the trash, and cleaning bathrooms.
