Onancock, Va. – Teens Brogan and Emerson Land recently donated funds to purchase 4,000 medical-grade procedural masks for the use of Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital’s patients and team members. The twin daughters of Lawrence and Ellen Land are juniors in high school and were inspired by their parents’ donation earlier in the year which funded 10,000 procedural and N95 masks for the Shore hospital.

Masks are an effective defense in curbing the transmission of COVID-19. Patients, visitors and Riverside team members are required to wear a mask covering their nose and mouth to protect themselves and others while in Riverside facilities.

“The Land family has been very generous in providing funding for masks for patients and health care workers,” said John Peterman, President of Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital. “The support of our community has been instrumental in our success over the past century, and this most recent gift is heartwarming and an impressive display of citizenship.”
