Riverside Health has announced the selection of Tom Taghon, D.O., to become the new president of Riverside Medical Group (RMG) effective September 7, 2026. Dr. Taghon will assume the responsibilities of RMG previously held by Tom Kayrouz, M.D., who has continued to serve as RMG President while servicing as Riverside’s Chief Operations Officer since January 2026. This transition allows Dr. Kayrouz to dedicate his full attention to leading Riverside’s operational strategy and performance across the health system.
Dr. Taghon brings extensive physician leadership to this new role, previously serving in various leadership positions at HCA Healthcare, Dayton Children's Hospital and Nationwide Children's Hospital as well as an anesthesiologist for the US Navy. Since joining Riverside Regional Medical Center as Chief Medical Officer in 2022, Dr. Taghon has provided steady leadership across quality, safety, clinical performance and medical staff engagement.

Dr. Taghon is a graduate of Ohio University School of Medicine. He completed an anesthesiology residency at the Naval Medical Center Portsmouth and has a master’s degree in health administration from Ohio University.

As he transitions to the new role at RMG, Dr. Aaron Daley has been named Chief Medical Officer at RRMC. Since joining RRMC as a Stroke Neurologist in 2019, Dr. Daley has demonstrated exceptional leadership and a steadfast commitment to patient care. Most recently, he served as the Associate Chief Medical Officer at RRMC and Interim Chief Medical Officer at Riverside Mental Health and Recovery Center.
Dr. Daley is a retired Navy Commander with more than two decades of military service, he served in a variety of clinical and executive leadership positions including Neurology Service Line Lead and Clinical Chief Operations Officer at the Naval Medical Center Portsmouth. His expertise spans patient safety, crisis response, utilization management, operational excellence and service line performance.
“Throughout my career, I’ve seen how strong teamwork and reliable processes directly impact patient outcomes,” said Dr. Daley. “As Chief Medical Officer, I’m committed to advancing patient safety, supporting our providers and care teams, and continuing the work to improve how we deliver care across the hospital.”
As Dr. Daley transitions into his new position, Dr. Amanda Polsinelli will assume the role of Associate Chief Medical Officer at RRMC. Dr. Polsinelli brings more than a decade of experience as an Emergency Medicine physician and has played a pivotal role in developing Riverside's next generation of physicians as a founding faculty member and current Program Director of the Emergency Medicine Residency Program. Her dedication to continuous improvement and clinical excellence, particularly in stroke, STEMI, and trauma care, has helped advance the quality of care delivered across our organization.
