Today, Riverside Health unveiled their new medical office building (MOB) located on the campus of Riverside Doctors’ Hospital Williamsburg (RDHW). The facility broke ground in August 2022 and moved steadily through construction phases. As the facility is now complete, Williamsburg Mayor Doug Pons, Williamsburg Vice Mayor W. Dent, Virginia State Delegate Amanda Batten, Williamsburg City Council Member Barbara Ramsey, Riverside leadership, team members and community members attended a ribbon cutting to mark this milestone on the journey to better serve and support the Williamsburg community.

“The MOB offers a warm, healing and respectful care environment for our patients and for our team members and creates convenient access to outpatient medical services for those living in and around Williamsburg,” says Sally Ryan, Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Riverside Medical Group. “This facility is a testament to serving our communities and our commitment to meeting the unique health care needs of those we serve.”

The new 67,000 square foot facility houses more than 30 medical and surgical specialists supported by Riverside care teams. The MOB provides additional services to the comprehensive care already offered by Riverside in the Williamsburg community. The state-of-the art facility provides office and rehabilitation spaces for:

  • Physical Therapy
  • Orthopedics
  • Internal Medicine
  • Endocrinology
  • Pulmonology
  • Women’s Health
  • Vascular and General Surgery

“The addition of the MOB on our hospital campus is a commitment to providing high-quality, convenient health care for our community,” says Adria Vanhoozier, president of Riverside Doctors’ Hospital Williamsburg. “The MOB facility serves as an additional avenue for our patients to access comprehensive health care conveniently, further extending the reach of our extensive range of services within the community.”

After nearly 20 months of construction, the facility is complete and will undergo a phased opening schedule over the next month. Practices located on third floor are slated to open in the beginning of May, followed by the subsequent floors, and ending with the first floor in the beginning of June.
