About William Paul Irvin Jr., MD

 

After completing his medical degree and OB/GYN residency at the University of Virginia, Dr. Irvin completed fellowship training in gynecologic oncology at Loyola University Medical Center. He is board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology with additional certification in gynecologic oncology.

Dr. Irvin serves as director of gynecologic oncology and minimally invasive surgery at Riverside Regional Medical Center, where the resident staff has presented him with the Faculty Excellence in Teaching Award six times. His passion for teaching extends to his role as assistant professor at Eastern Virginia Medical School and the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Peers throughout the regional and national medical community have recognized Dr. Irvin with numerous awards including Best Doctors in America, Who’s Who Top Doctors Honors Edition, Top Doctors of Coastal Virginia/Hampton Roads, Virginia Living Magazine Top Doctor, and Castle Connolly Top Doc.
