Specialized Pulmonary Unit
As part of its ongoing efforts to ensure patients avoid returning to the hospital after getting discharged, Riverside Health System recently opened a 24-bed pulmonary care rehabilitation unit at The Gardens on the campus of Warwick Forest. The new unit will allow patients to return home or to the community with improved function and better control of their chronic respiratory conditions, which include conditions such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), lung disease, and others.
Those with Medicare Part A who are admitted after (at least) three nights in the hospital typically qualify for 100% coverage for the first 20 days of care and 80% during the next 80 days. Ask your admissions counselor if your care needs qualify you to receive this standard Medicare coverage.
The Highest Level of Recovery
Whether you feel you may need rehabilitation or not, research and experience shows that those who choose to recover in a post-acute rehabilitation program typically experience better results and are less likely to return to the hospital for the same issue.
We strive to provide the highest quality of care for our residents and guests. The Gardens was recently awarded the Bronze Quality Award by the American Health Care Association. (Read more here.)
Our goal is to return you to the community stronger and healthier than ever so you can successfully return to your favorite activities after discharge.
