HELP (Hospital Elder Life Program)
For some older adults, a hospital stay upsets their normal routine, leading to confusion and sometimes a temporary loss in physical and mental function. The Hospital Elder Life Program brings volunteers to the bedside to help patients stay alert and connected so they retain their independence and return home sooner.

All patients over 60 years of age are screened upon admittance to determine if they are at risk for confusion and if they are eligible for this free program during their hospital stay.
