It would be nice if we only needed medical attention from 9 to 5. Unfortunately, that is not always the case. What can you do when your child wakes up with an earache at four in the morning or you experience a persistent cough at midnight? Call Riverside Nurse, a free service of Riverside Health System. A registered nurse specially trained in telephone triage will answer your symptom-based question and, if needed, refer you to a physician for treatment. Riverside Nurse also provides general health information and Riverside physician and service referrals.
Our nurses keep the same hours as your body. Call Riverside Nurse 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
If you are inquiring about a health related problem, it is important for you to seek timely health care. Please consult a physician or if it is a life-threatening situation call 911 or your local emergency response system.
Our nurses can only triage patients who reside in our local Virginia service area which includes: Peninsula, Middle Peninsula, Northern Neck, Williamsburg and Isle of Wight areas. If you are outside our service area, please call your local physician or hospital.
