Roger Jackson, PT, DPT, Clinical Coordinator
Roger earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy from Ithaca College. He has been working for Riverside since 2007 and currently manages the Williamsburg Physical Therapy Clinic. He specializes in sports, orthopedics and manual therapy and is on a clinical pathway for the Orthopedic Certified Specialist. As a certified STAR clinician, he works with cancer survivors to maximize mobility and quality of life. His personal motto is, "It is instructive in life to attempt what is previously thought to be impossible."
Heather Blair, PT
Heather graduated from the University of Maryland at Baltimore in 1989. She has worked within the Riverside Health System for 22 years with experience in all levels of care, including acute care, inpatient rehabilitation and outpatient therapy. Heather specializes in Pelvic Floor Therapy, Vestibular Rehabilitation for balance, Neuro Rehabilitation for post stroke and brain injury patients, utilization of Bioness L300, and Aquatic Therapy. Heather is also a STAR Certified Practitioner in Cancer Rehabilitation. Heather's passion for quality patient care, coupled with her passion for her profession, result in functional and meaningful outcomes for her clients.
Shantel Blume, PT, DPT
Shantel Blume graduated from Arcadia University in January of 2013 with a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. She joined the Riverside team shortly after graduation and attained Direct Access Certification in August of 2013. Shantel utilizes her personal experience as a dancer to provide Dance Rehabilitation and Injury Prevention for pre-professional and professional dancers. Shantel specializes in Orthopedic Rehabilitation, Neuro Rehab for post stroke and brain injury, and Aquatic Therapy in the outpatient setting. She has completed the Level 1, Sara Meeks Course for treatment of Osteoporosis. Shantel believes in building rapport with her clients to maximize recovery and benefit from therapy.
Arielle M. Poe, PT, DPT, Senior Physical Therapist
Dr. Poe is a Colorado native who graduated from the University of Colorado, Boulder in 2007. She earned her B.A. in Art History with the thought of going into medicine. She met her husband in Virginia and decided physical therapy was where her passions met. She obtained her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Old Dominion University in 2012, where she graduated with honors.
Arielle is certified in trigger point dry needling through the American Dry Needling Institute. She is currently a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). She enjoys treating a variety of orthopedic conditions with a focus on shoulder injuries. She believes there is an art and a science to physical therapy and enjoys melding the two to help patients reach their goals and regain an active lifestyle.
In her free time she enjoys kayaking, mountain biking, yoga, and exploring museums.
Ellen Pollock, LPTA
Ellen is a graduate of the U.S. Army's Physical Therapy Assistant program. She completed civilian licensure in 2009. Ellen has been with Riverside since 2012 and is bilingual in English and Spanish. She is an avid angler for freshwater fishing.
