Jay Forman, P.A.-C
Mr. Forman earned his Master of Health Science Physician Assistant degree from Lock Haven University in central Pennsylvania. He enjoyed surgery in his educational rotations and began his career as a neurosurgery PA assisting in complex spine reconstruction and intercranial procedures. While he enjoyed this work, he has always been interested in sports and orthopedic procedures. Presently, he spends a good portion of his time diagnosing and treating osteoarthritis and evaluating and managing sports related injuries.
Mr. Forman started his career in medicine at Snowshoe Mountain as the mountain medic and a ski patroller. His first medical experience was taking an outdoor emergency care class to complete his training as a white water raft guide on the Gauley and New Rivers in West Virginia. He still serves as a commercial white water raft guide several times a year.
Mr. Forman is married and has two English mastiffs, Jackson and Jefferson. He was born and raised in central Pennsylvania, but he now enjoys the community atmosphere of Hampton Roads.
