Your physician determines what day you are ready to go home. Discharge time is 11:00am. Your nurse will help you get ready and will take you and your baby to your car. Remember, each baby needs to ride home in an infant car seat. Many parents find it helpful to stop by the Fire Station towards the end of their pregnancy so they can check that the seat has been installed correctly.

If you haven’t already done so, please remember to call your health insurance company as soon as possible to add your new infant to your insurance policy. 

Getting Back in Shape
Remember to take good care of yourself as well as baby. Follow your physician’s recommendations on nutrition, activity and rest. Riverside Wellness and Fitness Center offers personal Nutrition Counseling as well as Dyna-Mom exercise classes for new mothers and their infants.
