Riverside’s dedicated Coronary Care Unit (CCU) is specially designed with the cardiac patient in mind. Fourteen beds designated for cardiac care allow Riverside to provide unsurpassed critical care nursing services.

The Cardiac Surgery ICU (CSICU), located on the fourth floor of the main hospital, is designed for the immediate recovery needs patients recovering after open-heart surgery and major vascular surgery procedures. Patients typically spend less than 24 hours in this intensive care environment before they are transferred to the telemetry unit on the fourth floor.

The telemetry unit allows continuous EKG monitoring for cardiac patients in a less intensive environment. This area is designated for interventional cardiology patients after stent and angioplasty procedures. Located on the fourth floor of the main hospital, this unit is also designated for patients recovering from open-heart surgery. The unit is staffed by specially trained cardiac nurses and offers flexible visiting hours.
