Support and Survivorship
Our General Support Group meets on the 4th Tuesday of the month at 4 p.m. for cancer patients and their caregivers. We meet at the Riverside Cancer Care Center, 12100 Warwick Blvd. Support meetings are open to anyone who has had a cancer diagnosis or is supporting someone through diagnosis, treatment or survivorship. Transitions for Survivors
This six-week post cancer treatment program provides support and empowers survivors as they transition from active treatment to post-treatment. The meetings are for six consecutive Wednesdays. For more information and to register, call Martha Petit at (757) 534-5581.
The Nutrition and Physical Activity During and After Treatment Group
This group is designed for those diagnosed with cancer and their caregivers and meets the third Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. To register, please call (757) 591-8330.
Colorectal/GI Cancer Navigator
The Riverside Patient Navigation Program helps guide patients and their families through the healthcare system in general and the colorectal and gastrointestinal cancer experience in particular. The navigator helps cancer patients and their loved ones through diagnosis, treatment and cancer survival.
Harolette Kelley, RN, BSN, OCN, Riverside's Navigator for Colorectal and Gastrointestinal Cancers, can help you understand your diagnosis, care plan and medications; facilitate and streamline communication between you and the doctors caring for you; and provide individual support and education.
Along with assistance related directly to cancer care, Ms. Kelley can also help with concerns about insurance, transportation, and a variety of support services.
