Riverside Surgery Center, previously located in the Hidenwood section of Newport News, relocated to a new 20,000 square foot ambulatory surgical center in October 2007. The new facility will be called Riverside Hampton Surgery Center and will continue to be a department of Riverside Regional Medical Center. It will be located in the newly built Riverside Healthcare Center – Hampton.
All of the skilled and talented surgeons have chosen to continue to operate at the new location. Several additional top-notch surgeons have joined the medical staff of Riverside Hampton Surgery Center. Surgical specialties for the new center will include:
- General Surgery
- Gynecology
- Ophthalmology, to include retinal and pediatric services
- Orthopaedics
- Otolaryngology (ENT)
- Podiatry
In addition to the surgery center, Riverside Healthcare Center – Hampton will include physician offices and a diagnostic center offering digital mammography, ultrasound, CT scans, magnetic resonance imaging, general diagnostic x-rays, and lab draw services for outpatient testing.
