Speech-Language Pathologists are dedicated to improving a person's communication skills, cognitive skills and/or swallowing abilities. "Speech Therapy" is a term that encompasses many broad areas.  Likewise, people with a variety of conditions or impairments may benefit from Speech Therapy.  Treatment allows for enhanced communication with family and friends, greater independence in managing life's responsibilities, and specialized therapy for the dysphagia patient so that they can eat safely again.   

Speech Therapy targets a variety of conditions or impairments using skilled intervention:

• Improved speech, language and/or voice
• Improved memory, organization and/or problem solving abilities
• Specialized swallowing assessment and therapy utilizing the Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) with certification in Vital Stem Therapy
