Your health and independence are vitally important to you. At Riverside Rehabilitation Institute, these are just as important to us. We recognize both the unique challenges and the vast potential that lies ahead of you throughout the recovery process. And it is our passion to work alongside you to meet those challenges and help you discover your full potential. Our comprehensive programs and services, along with our continuum of care, are designed to meet your individual goals.

Inpatient Therapies and Services:

Referral and Assessment
Patients are accepted on a referral basis. Physicians, social workers, discharge planners, family members, or potential patients can refer individuals to Riverside Rehabilitation Institute.
The Institute's Information and Admission Coordinators can be reached by calling 757-928-8000 or 800-262-3019 or through E-Discharge and AllScripts.
An assessment is scheduled by the Admission Coordinators for potential patients. The assessment can be performed in another hospital where the individual is receiving medical care, in the patient's home, or wherever it is most convenient. The completed assessment is presented to the Medical Director of Riverside Rehabilitation Institute, a physiatrist (doctor of rehabilitation medicine) who evaluates the information and, if appropriate, approves the admission.
