Welcome to the Riverside York River Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine. We provide comprehensive orthopaedic care for adults and children Our board-certified physicians specialize in sports medicine as well as care for chronic orthopaedic conditions.

Referrals
We don't require a referral, but some insurance providers require one from your primary care provider before you make an appointment with us. If you need help securing a referral, please call us and we'll be glad to assist.
 
Appointments
To make an appointment, please call our office. If you need to change your appointment time, we appreciate notification at least 24 hours in advance of your scheduled visit.  
  • Please arrive 15 minutes early for your first appointment.
  • What to bring to your first appointment:
  • Insurance card,
  • Photo I.D.,
  • Co-payment, if needed, 
  • List of medications and dosages or the original prescription bottles,
  • X-rays, if available.

If you have been treated by a physician of Riverside Medical Group, we can access your medical records electronically. Otherwise, please bring the name, address and phone number of your previous physician or any relevant medical records.

Insurance
We accept most major insurance including Medicare. When you make your appointment, please confirm that we accept your insurance.

As part of Riverside Medical Group, we store medical records electronically. This highly secure system facilitates clear communication among your physicians and specialists. Your personal medical records are confidential and we will not release information without your permission. Please review Riverside Health System's Privacy Statement for more information.

Once we establish your electronic medical record, you'll be given access to it through myHealth eLink. Through this highly secure, convenient, online communication tool, you can:
Access your basic electronic medical record summary
  • Request appointments and prescription refills
