Our Team
Dr. Peter B. Anderson
Anderson graduated from the University of Virginia School of Medicine and completed his residency at Riverside Regional Medical Center. He earned a fellowship in Ambulatory Medicine at UVA in 1979 and is board-certified in Family Medicine.Dr. Anderson enjoys family medicine because he believes that it offers "the greatest opportunity to build relationships with patients and their families." Dr. Anderson is married and has four adult children. In his spare time, Dr. Anderson performs humanitarian medical work in hospitals in Central Asia.
James E. Burton III, MD
Dr. Burton graduated from Washington University School of Medicine and completed his residency at Andrews Air Force Base. He is board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.
Dr. Burton is a retired Colonel, USAF. He and his wife have 2 children. In his spare time, Dr. Burton participates in humanitarian relief work in Central America.
Dwight C. Herbert, M.D.
Board-certified in Family Medicine, Dr Herbert treats patients of all ages at Hilton Family Practice. Dr. Herbert graduated from Howard University College of Medicine and completed his residency at Riverside Regional Medical Center. He enjoys family medicine and meeting the needs of his patients. Dr. Putland graduated from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and completed his residency at Portsmouth Family Practice. He is board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.
Barbara Joy Trandel, M.D.Dr. Trandel earned her medical degree at the University of Virginia, School of Medicine. She completed residency training in Internal Medicine while in the Air Force at Kessler Air Force Base and recently completed residency training in Family Medicine at Riverside. She is board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.
