Bill Paying
You can pay your medical bill online using Riverside's secure service. Visit Pay Your Bill Online . For questions about billing, please call the Riverside Medical Group billing office at (757) 594-3407.

New Patients

We are excited to be your partner in your health care for all of your family's needs and through all stages of life.

What to bring to your first appointment:

  • Insurance card
  • A photo I.D.
  • A co-payment, if needed
  • A list of medications and dosages, or the original prescription bottle(s)
  • Shot records for 18 years old or younger
  • If you have been or are currently being treated by a physician of Riverside Medical Group, we can access your medical records electronically. If not, and if at all possible, please bring copies of relevant medical records.

Insurance
We accept most insurances, self-pay and welcome new Medicare patients within the Family Medicine and Obstetrics and Gynecology practices. When making your appointment, please have your insurance information readily available. We will be happy to verify your insurance coverage.

Medicare
We accept Medicare. Becoming insured through Medicare can be confusing. We recommend reading about the program at the government's official site, www.medicare.gov. Feel free to call our staff with any questions.

Medical Records
As a means of expediting care and increasing patient safety, we store medical records electronically. This highly secure system facilitates fast, clear communication among your physicians and specialists. In the event of an emergency, our physicians have immediate access to your medical history. This information can be critical and sometimes life saving in helping to properly diagnose and treat your emergency.

Please be assured your personal medical records are confidential, and we will not release information without your permission. Please review Riverside Health System's Privacy Statement for more information.

myHealth eLink - personal electronic medical record access!
During your first appointment, and after we have established an electronic medical record to store your personal health information, you may sign up for myHealth eLink. Through this highly secure, convenient, online communication tool, you can:

  • Access your electronic medical record
  • Request appointments and prescription refills
  • Review immunization records
  • Receive test results from your doctor

Check-up guidelines
One of the keys to lifelong good health is to have regular health screenings. The National Institutes of Health recommend these medical screenings based on your age and gender .

Riverside Nurse Phone Service
What can you do if you develop a cough at midnight? Call the Riverside Nurse, a free service of Riverside that's available 24/7. A registered nurse trained in telephone triage will answer your questions and, if needed, refer you to a physician for treatment. Call 1-800-675-6368. Of course, if you have a life-threatening situation, call 911.
