Think You're Depressed? Take the Depression Self-Assessment.
Riverside Behavioral Health Outpatient Services hosts several support groups and aftercare groups to aid in the management of behavioral health and substance abuse problems. We also have information on other groups that meet locally, such as Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, National Alliance on Mental Illness and others.
Paying for Services
Riverside Behavioral Health Outpatient Services is an approved provider for most major insurance companies and managed care plans. We will work with patients, their families, insurance companies, managed care providers, employee assistance programs, agency representatives and others to explore every source for payment. Patients may also choose to pay for services directly by check, cash or credit card.
Riverside Behavioral Health Outpatient Services are offered on the campus of Riverside Behavioral Health Center and are open to adults, children and adolescents who meet program criteria. Outpatient services allow our patients to engage in effective treatment, even on an intensive basis, with the least disruption to job schedules and family.

Referrals And Assessments
Our referrals come from many sources, including patients themselves, family members, physicians, public school systems, clergy, employee assistance programs, community agencies, hospital/medical staff, care managers and professionals in the behavioral health field and court system. To make a referral for an assessment, simply call (757) 827-3670 or toll-free, 1 (800) 759-1001. We will work with you to schedule the assessment and answer your questions.
The results of the assessment will help determine the type of care to best meet your needs. We may refer you to a therapist, psychiatrist or other behavioral health professional for outpatient treatment.Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS)
Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) was approved by the FDA in 2008 as a treatment for Treatment-Resistant Depression. This state-of-the-art treatment is presently being given by Philip Schlobohm, M.D., a Board Certified psychiatrist.
