These services are offered on the campus of Riverside Behavioral Health Center and are open to adults, children and adolescents who meet program criteria. Referrals And Assessments
Our referrals come from many sources, including patients themselves, family members, physicians, public school systems, clergy, employee assistance programs, community agencies, hospital/medical staff, care managers and professionals in the behavioral health field and court system. To make a referral for an assessment, simply call (757) 827-3670 or toll-free, 1 (800) 759-1001. We will work with you to schedule the assessment and answer your questions.

The results of the assessment will help determine the type of care to best meet your needs. We may refer you to a therapist, psychiatrist or other behavioral health professional for outpatient treatment. 

Opiate Addiction Treatment
Individualized treatment plans including detoxification, stabilization, maintenance medication with Suboxone, and involvement in substance abuse treatment with eventual goal of abstinence and recovery.

Outpatient Treatment Team 
A treatment team that includes licensed social workers, licensed professional counselors and other certified clinicians will provide patient care. A Board-certified psychiatrist serves as Medical Director and oversees all treatment. 

Family Involvement 
Behavioral health and substance abuse problems typically affect the other members of a family. With your consent (or the consent of your legal guardian), we will encourage your family to be part of your outpatient treatment as you work toward successfully managing your illness or dependency. 

Support Groups 
Riverside Behavioral Health Outpatient Services hosts several support groups and aftercare groups to aid in the management of behavioral health and substance abuse problems. We also have information on other groups that meet locally, such as Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, Women’s Alcoholics Anonymous, and others.

Protecting your privacy is a top priority throughout Riverside. Except as required to provide treatment, we will not disclose your private health information to anyone, including family and friends, without your authorization. 

Paying for Services 
Riverside Behavioral Health Outpatient Services is an approved provider for most major insurance companies and managed care plans. We will work with patients, their families, insurance companies, managed care providers, employee assistance programs, agency representatives and others to explore every source for payment. Patients may also choose to pay for services directly by check, cash or credit card.
