Dr. Kitay is a comprehensive Ophthalmologist with Hampton Roads Eye Associates. He is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He specializes in micro-incision sutureless cataract surgery, treatment and management of glaucoma, diabetic eye exams, as well as general ophthalmic medical and surgical services.

Dr. Kitay received his medical school training at the University of Pittsburgh. He then completed an Ophthalmology residency at The Eye and Ear Institute of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He served his final year of training as Chief Resident.

Following his ophthalmic training, Dr. Kitay was in private practice in Louisville, Kentucky until joining Hampton Roads Eye Associates in 2001. "Moving to Virginia, my wife's home state, has been a great decision", he said.

Dr. Kitay is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society for Cataract and Refractive Surgery. He also belongs to the Virginia Medical Society and the Newport News Medical Society.
