PACE (A Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) is a national program that enhances life for frail older adults by providing compassionate, quality care and services. PACE enables seniors to continue to live at home by providing comprehensive medical, social, and restorative care at the PACE center and within their community.

As one of the leaders of the PACE movement in Virginia, Riverside, in partnership with JABA and UVA, is excited to announce the opening of Blue Ridge PACE, set in the breathtaking heart of Virginia.

Parking Information
Here is information about parking that we hope will make your arrival and departure as easy as possible.

If you are arriving from out of town or need assistance to avoid a walk
Please park at the Piedmont Virginia Community College (PVCC) Stultz Center, which is located at the corner of College Drive and Route 20 at the bottom of the hill that leads to the PVCC campus. You will be met by a bus that will take you directly to the event, five minutes away. Buses will run every 15 minutes. Here are the directions to the Stultz Center.

From I-64, take exit 121 A to Route 20 South. At the first traffic light, turn right onto College Drive. Make your first right into the Stultz Center parking lot. (Do not go up the hill!) A bus will arrive to pick up guests at these approximate times: 9:00, 9:15, 9:30 and 9:45 am. Buses will leave to return visitors to the Stultz Center beginning at 11:30 am.

If you are from out of town but need to make a quick get-a-way we suggest that you arrive early and follow the directions for parking for in-town guests.

If you are arriving from an in-town destination …
Go to the entrance of the Carlton Avenue Business Park, which is at the corner of Carlton Road and Carlton Avenue. You will see signage and a greeter will meet you to give you an update as to which parking venues remain open.  All of these parking spots are first come first served. Except for the spaces at the PACE center, these locations will require a short walk to the center at 1335 Carlton Avenue. A Blue Ridge PACE bus will travel up and down Carlton and will stop to pick up walkers as needed. The most choice spots are at the front of the list, so plan to arrive as early as possible.

  • The Blue Ridge PACE  Center at 1335 Carlton (30 parking spaces available on the side of the center.)
  • 1327 Carlton Avenue — behind the Skyline Tent company. (15 spaces are available.)
  • Carlton Avenue — parallel parking is permitted (despite signage) along the north side of the street. (There are 35 spaces available.) Greeters will be stationed along the road to help.
  • 1740 Broadway Street (Data Visible) — Carlton Avenue turns into  Broadway Street, just past the PACE center, across the intersection of Carlton Avenue and Franklin Street. This lot is just past Rudi's  Cleaners on the left side of the street. Signage and a greeter will be stationed there. (There are 25 spaces available.)

If you are a speaker at the event …
Please display the parking permit in your windshield and proceed to the Blue Ridge PACE Center at 1335 Carlton Avenue. Reserved parking has been set aside for speakers at the front of the center.  A greeter will be there to assist.
