Cataract surgery

A cataract is a clouding of the lens inside your eye and is considered a normal part of aging. A cataract is corrected with cataract surgery, an outpatient procedure that involves breaking up and removing the cataract with high-frequency sound waves. The cloudy lens is then replaced with a soft plastic one, giving most people excellent distance vision.
