Have a cold? Fight back with humidity

Cold viruses thrive in dry conditions. Dry air also dries the mucous membranes, which can lead to a stuffy nose and scratchy throat. If you have a cold, use a humidifier to add moisture to the air inside your home. Just be sure to keep your humidifier clean to ward off bacteria and fungi.
