The Langley Speedway Pink Project

The Langley Speedway Pink ProjectBreast cancer survivor Jenny Crittenden is grateful for the care she received at Riverside. Now she's giving back – along with her son, Vaughan, who was inspired by his mother's battle to spearhead a fund-raiser to help other local patients facing cancer.

The Langley Speedway Pink Project will be held on Saturday, October 5, during Modified Madness Night at the track in Hampton.

Proceeds from a Victory Track Walk held prior to the race will go to the Riverside Health System Tree of Life Cancer Fund, along with half the proceeds of all race tickets purchased through Riverside.

Tickets are $10 each. An additional donation of $5 per person will reserve your place in the Victory Track Walk. If you're unable to attend the event, but would like to contribute, you can Donate Now.

The Riverside Foundation Tree of Life Cancer Fund helps cancer patients with immediate needs, such as electric bills, transportation to doctor appointments, rent or medication. "It's beyond amazing," said Riverside Patient Navigator Yvonne Pike, who refers patients to the program. "It can make a difference between a patient being able to stay in treatment or not being able to stay in treatment."
