Some Reminders About Saving on Your Health Plan Premiums
Deadlines you don't want to miss
The My Healthy Lifestyle program, a resource available to employees and their covered spouses who have health insurance benefits through Riverside Health System, makes it possible for you to save on your health insurance premium or other health-related costs in 2013 and beyond.
All it takes is setting up a wellness plan with your primary care physician and then reaching the agreed upon health and wellness goals for the year. And to make it easier, we've put together the five steps you need to take to turn the potential savings – up to $600 – things like an appointment with your PCP for an annual wellness exam (and don't forget, the blood draw is a fasting one) and completing your online Health Risk Assessment (HRA). And remember, every step is completely private and confidential.
In the meantime, be sure to meet the deadlines shown below:
July 1 to September 15, 2012. This period represents the time you have to complete your online 2012 Health Risk Assessment (HRA).You will enter your results from your wellness exam as part of completing this HRA.
July 11, 2012, from 3-4 pm. Web Chat on employee wellness programs and health plan incentives.
August 1, 2012. This is the deadline for scheduling your annual wellness exam with your Primary Care Physician. When you call, make sure to request the following lab work – a blood glucose test and a fasting lipid panel beforehand– so your doctor will have the results in hand when you come in for your scheduled wellness exam. And remember -- your wellness exam and lab work will be covered under Riverside health plans at 100%, with no co-payment.
September 4, 2012 Postmark. This is the deadline for returning the 2012 Physical Exam Verification Form, along with a copy of your lab results, and your Patient Consent and Authorization, to Health Advocate. This information is required to determine if you qualify for the Riverside health plan discount.
Saving on your health plan costs next year requires a little work on your part and some attention to deadlines, but it's well worth the effort.
