The Flu Ends with YOU
As part of our efforts to Team Up for Safety, we have made the decision to create a healthier environment for our patients and team members by implementing a mandatory influenza immunization program. A committee comprised of more than 40 team members met to lay the groundwork for the implementation of this new policy in 2012. Members of the group included physicians, infection prevention professionals, human resources partners, safety officials, instructors, supply chain staff, and others.

This new policy affects our employees as well as those in non-employee relationships (students, volunteers, non-employed medical staff, clergy, contracted vendors, and others in similar roles). December 31, 2012 was the deadline for compliance. There are accommodations to excuse employees from the requirement if they meet medical or religious guidelines.
