What our team members can tell you about a Therapy career at Riverside
Making a career move, working at a new location and possibly making other life changes are decisions for which only you can provide the best judgments and counsel. But sometimes, it helps to know about someone else's experience:
Will Parker, PT: "I have enjoyed working for Riverside because at Riverside, I feel home. When I took a position, almost seven years ago, I joined a close-knit team of professionals all with a common and genuine interest in serving the health needs of the local community. Being born and raised in the area, it brings a great sense of joy to be able to work in a role which directly impacts the lives of those in my community. Riverside also takes good care of its employees and encourages individual growth. Whether it is up the management ladder or pursuing a clinical specialty, I feel empowered through the Riverside family. Riverside does not provide jobs, it offers careers!"

Karma Lapacek, PT: "I began working for Riverside fulltime in September 2007 because of my passion for geriatrics. When I initially started I enjoyed the flexible work schedule, friendly department, and helpful manager. However, I knew I wanted something more for my career. I began to pursue educational opportunities both at conferences and in self-study in preparation for the APTA Geriatric Clinical Specialist Exam. Riverside supported me by helping me attend several continuing education courses, giving me time off to study, and financially supporting the exam process. While the GCS was a personal goal, Riverside greatly helped me to achieve certification. In recognition of this advanced certification, I was promoted to Senior Physical Therapist. My passion is patient care and this role allows me to continue treating patients while also getting recognition for my skills. Now, I am pursuing my Doctor of Physical Therapy and Riverside is again assisting me through their educational assistance fund. Riverside is committed to helping me develop into an advanced practice clinician."

Christine Robinson, LPTA: "I would recommend working for Riverside to anyone! I began here as my first job out of college in 2006 as a PTA. I interviewed with several other companies, and I chose the position at The Gardens for the competitive rates, great setting and the benefit of working with a strong rehab team. I have never regretted the decision to work here and have been able to benefit from a large and friendly rehab staff where I have had the opportunity of interacting with multiple people. The continuing education re-imbursement has made it possible for me to choose the courses I want to attend and made that process all the more enjoyable. I have the opportunity to work with a wide variety of diagnoses and discharge plans. Riverside Therapy Group has been a great company to work for and I hope to continue and progress my career through this organization."
Doug Culbert, PT: "I started as a staff Physical Therapist Assistant with Riverside in 1998. From the beginning, I was provided with the opportunity to expand my clinical skills through mentorship and continuing education. A career goal of mine was always to continue my education and eventually receive my PT degree. In 2003, I received support from Riverside to return to school to complete my DPT degree. When I graduated in 2005, I returned to a full time outpatient position at Riverside. Since that time I have continued to grow my clinical skills, but I have also been provided with opportunities to develop leadership skills that prepared me for advancement to management where I am a director of PT today. The diversity and opportunity across the health system make Riverside an excellent place to grow as a clinician and leader."
