Licensed Practical Nurse
A licensed practice nurse at Riverside typically works in one of our convalescent centers, caring for older adults in the comfort of private or semi-private rooms in a homelike atmosphere or in one of our Riverside Medical Group physician practices.
Starting in June 2012, licensed practical nurses with at least one year of experience can join our system-wide labor pool, called Staffing Resources.
Our LPNs are indispensable because they assess residents' conditions, interpret care plans, evaluate responses to care and treatments and explain or teach residents about their conditions and recovery. In these facilities, a compassionate LPN with a smile and caring words can make anyone instantly feel better.
As an LPN charge nurse, you take on a leadership role, maintaining accurate, descriptive records of medical treatments, nursing care and the emotional status of residents; you administer medications and treatments as prescribed. You also mentor and enhance a positive working environment.
At Riverside, we are looking for LPNs who are:
- Skilled in acute care for all ages.
- Dedicated to working closely with the health care team.
- Passionate about older adults.
- Proficient at assessing, planning and implementing nursing care.
Our LPNs are always encouraged to enhance their skills through our School of Health Careers, so they can advance to higher levels of nursing care.
