Must have a current registered nurse license in good standing with the Commonwealth of Virginia. 3 to 5 years Home Infusion nursing experienced preferred. CRNI or OCN desired. This position assists Pharmacy Staff in the provision of nursing supplies and functions as liaison between IV Therapy and the pharmacy to assure adherence to infusion therapy policy and procedures, guidelines and standards. Responsible for verification/reverification of IV insurance benefits PRN and assisting Director in negotiating with insurance case managers PRN. Assists Director of Pharmacy with monthly reports and statistics. Department PI monitors and chart audits will be performed monthly. Assists Director of Pharmacy with cost estimates as needed. Responsible for patient admission entry, and chart assembly. Infusion Therapy RN may also care for infusion therapy patients in the home care setting as needed. May be called upon for IV related inservices to home health, hospice and long term care facilities. On call responsibilities for own patients.
