The Sterile Processing Aide carries out functions that will render contaminated articles safe for handling and subsequent reprocessing and prevent contamination of wounds through processing of instruments and other articles for sterilization. Some duties include: accurately completing biological monitoring processes and documentation, accurately completing sterilization documentation, accurately entering data to charge and discontinue equipment of patients daily, performing rounds to patient care areas for retrieval of discontinued medical equipment. Prefer experience in medical field, CNA/Medical Assistant Certification a plus. Prior experience in a healthcare field helpful. Precise hand/eye coordination and finger dexterity in processing of instruments. Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
