The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patients requirements relative to his or her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the policy and procedure guide The Admission Coordinator works under the supervision of the Manager of Admissions and Care Management and may be required to work in other areas according to patient and departmental needs. |

| Responsible for the daily operations of the Radiation Oncology Department. Supervises and performs those duties directly involved with a variety of technical and clinical procedures applying radiation therapy. Provides leadership and mentorship/support to the staff needs of the department. Supervises technologists and ancillary personnel assigned within specific areas, procedure rooms or satellites of the department and is responsible for the scheduling of personnel, repairs, technical quality, patient care, and work progress within those areas of designated responsibility. As a clinical expert ensures the provision of competent services by validating staff competency in accordance with standards of excellence, age specific and cultural sensitivity established by the RHS policies and procedures. Assures the NRC, ACR and JCAHO standards and guidelines are maintained in daily operational functions. This position requires a high level of technical experience, initiative, independent judgment. Must be ARRT registered or ARRT registry eligible. CPR certification required. Minimum of 3 years experience in the field to include management/leadership. Knowledge of regulations, policies, procedures, accreditation standards required. Ability to perform radiation therapy treatments external beam and brachytherapy. Ability to lift 35 lbs unassisted and the ability to respond quickly to emergency situations. Comprehensive knowledge of general theory and basic disciplines related to imaging. |
