Admission Coordinator

Riverside Behavioral Health Center is a 147-bed facility conveniently located in Hampton, Virginia on a private 11.6-acre campus. This position must demonstrate by education and/or training a background in the assessment of children, adolescents, and adults seeking psychiatric and/or chemical dependency treatment. The Admission Coordinator conducts assessments on children, adolescents and adults at Riverside Behavioral Health Center, a 24 hour facility, providing all levels of behavioral health care. This position also coordinates with Riverside Health System regarding referrals for assessment and/or admission at RBHC. This position conducts precertification with third party payers, is able to demonstrate empathy, while assessing the client/family needs in a timely manner, and compliance with legal issues and patient rights. This position must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served, initiating age appropriate treatment and aftercare plans, utilizing knowledge of community resources. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to identify each patient's requirements relative to age-specific needs. The Admissions Coordinator works under the supervision of the Director of Admissions/Care Management and may be required to work in varying shifts and other areas according to patient and departmental needs. Education: Masters Degree (MSW, MS, MA, MEd) in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field is required. Licensure: Current BLS is required within 10 days of hire. Advanced ElectroPhysiology Technician
Riverside Cardiology Specialists are currently seeking an Advanced ElectroPhysiology Technician for their office in Newport News, VA JOB SUMMARY: Works under the direct supervision of the Riverside Medical Group (RMG) Practice Manager and RMG cardiology physician group; the Advanced Electrophysiology Technologist performs a variety of duties related to cardiac electrophysiology procedures; cardiac ablation for the treatment of atrial and ventricular arrhythmias, implants for cardiac rhythm management (CRM) devices, and ongoing CRM maintenance. Works independently in a flexible work schedule, giving continued clinical support thru the practice CRM clinic for interrogation and programming implanted devices. ED Support Services Tech
Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, VA is currently seeking a labor pool ED Support Services Technician. JOB SUMMARY: Works under the supervision of the Support Services tech and ED nurse manager and ED supervisor. This position performs routine and special blood collections according to established protocols and standard operation procedures. The position is also responsible for explaining specimen collection procedures and instructions to patients, nurses, physicians, etc. The SST may also be responsible for performing patients EKG's, ABG's, and placing patients on cardiac monitor. The SST must maintain patient confidentiality and properly identify patients according to guidelines set forth by the facility, (i.e. patient safety goals). This person is a vital member of the trauma team. Responsible for intravenous access and delivery of emergency blood samples. Also responsible for the delivery of blood products to the bedside staff for use in a trauma or critical patient. This position is responsible for maintaining proper inventory in the department and for keeping appropriate stock levels in the collection basket. The SST is also responsible for printing, monitoring, and distributing patient reports to proper locations. The SST is required to follow all quality control and quality assurance guidelines established in the department to include accurate performance of job duties with proper documentation. The SST is responsible for effective intradepartmental and interdepartmental communications to include such items as shift to shift hand off pending collection inquiries and resolutions. Critical thinking and prioritization is critical for this role as will be responsible for maintaining timely collections and results to expedite patient care.
