Promotes teamwork through appropriate deployment of process, technical, and human resources in collaboration with Departmental, Facility, and Health System leaders and project managers. Participates in data collection, evaluation and reporting related to clinical information, review and revision of clinical and information system policies to increase standardization, decrease duplication, and improve efficiency and productivity.

Educational Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required. Masters Degree Nursing/Informatics or related field of study preferred.

Certification/Licensure Requirements

Current license as Registered Nurse in Virginia (or compact state) required. Prefer specialty certification as ANCC Informatics Nursing Certification, Certified Associate or Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems.

Experience Requirements

Minimum of two years experience working in direct care in an acute care setting. Prefer demonstrated experience supporting clinical information system(s). Must demonstrate proficiency using the computer-enhanced patient care. Strong organizational,

project management, team building and excellent customer service skills. Experience with Meditech (Medical Information Technology) software preferred.

Riverside Health System in Newport News, VA is seeking a full time Telecom Manager. The Telecom Manager reports to Director of Information Systems. This position will provide the leadership for the Telecommunications areas of Riverside Health System with a focus on phones. This includes leading the Telecommunications team, setting strategy and vision for future direction, managing installs and resolution of issues, and working closely with upper management and the networking infrastructure teams.
