Riverside Medical Group in Newport News, VA is seeking a full time Clinical Quality Data Abstractor. The Clinical Quality Data Abstractor will work under the supervision of the applicable service director for Quality and the Bariatric program. He or she will abstract clinical findings and other specific information pertaining to each RMG practice on a concurrent and retrospective basis in order to provide the necessary information to evaluate quality of care. They will retrieve, compile, and analyze clinical data from a variety of sources to promote performance improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with Joint Commission, the Bariatric program accreditation requirements and other regulatory standards. The successful candidate will be a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse, or will have equivalent experience in medical terminology, chart abstraction, and clinical background. Three or more years of clinical experience required. Prior experience in a clinical data abstractor or clinical data analyst role preferred. Proficient computer skills in navigating web based software systems and Microsoft word, excel and PowerPoint highly desired as well as the ability to effectively communicate with a diverse workforce. Educational Requirements Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse, or equivalent experience in medical terminology, chart abstraction, and clinical background. Certification/Licensure Requirements VA licensed or license-eligible for LPN or RN. Current CPR Certification Required. Experience Requirements 3 or more years of clinical experience required. Prior experience in a clinical data abstractor or clinical data analyst role preferred. Proficient computer skills in navigating web based software systems and Microsoft word, excel and PowerPoint highly desired. Effective communication skills with diverse workforce.

Information Technology Imaging Manager
Riverside Health System in Newport News, VA is seeking a full time Information Technology Imaging Manager. The Information Technology Imaging Manager works under the supervision of the System Director of Imaging Services and IT System Director. Directly provides technical support for the operations, development, and implementation of application software and maintenance for designated electronic operating systems and applicable work flow applications/processes. Acts as a liaison with RHS Information Systems. Has a high level of technical expertise and ability to work corroboratively in support of system IT goals. Continual responsibility for application software in support of critical operations. Has management oversight for operational staffing needs and multiple IT clinical software systems. Assume responsibility for designated projects as required. Complies with patient safety goals and HIPAA guidelines. Performs other duties as assigned. Educational Requirements PACS Certification or Bachelors Degree in Information Systems Required Certification/Licensure Requirements PACS Administration Certification required or related experience or education required. Experience Requirements 3 years experience management/leadership preferred. Knowledge of Imaging IT systems, regulations, policies, procedures required.
