Business Analyst with extensive knowledge of the practice management applications used by the Riverside Medical Group Practices, as well as the ambulatory Electronic Medical Record and its associated applications. Understands and analyzes registration, appointment scheduling, charge posting, and payment posting operations and adapts them to a highly integrated information system. Maintains system security. Responsible for the ongoing analysis of data relative to end users access of applications, summarizing findings and providing reports to appropriate HIPAA Officials. Directly supports RMG Practice Management users as well as EMR for the customers located within all Riverside Health System Ancillary departments. Educational Requirements Certified Professional Coder preferred Experience Requirements Minimum of 3 years experience using Group Practice Management and Centricity EMR. Minimum of 2 years of experience working with medical coding and charge posting, preferably in a physician practice environment. Must be proficient using Microsoft applications. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. Experience with the following a plus: Teaching/training in person and via web, familiarity with medical documentation requirements and medical regulatory requirements.

System Operations Analyst - RHS Perioperative Services
Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, VA is seeking a full time System Operations Analyst. The System Operations Analyst reports to the System Director of Perioperative Services and works closely as a member of the Perioperative Services leadership team, the System Operations Analyst will facilitate the integration, management, and data needs for Perioperative Services. This role will be responsible for orchestrating the resources needed to produce or achieve established products and goals set by the System Director of Perioperative Services. Responsibilities and goals will focus around reducing costs and variability, improving logistics flow, productivity, quality, customer service, information system standardization and optimization, and business processes throughout Riverside Health System. The system Operations Analyst will work with physicians, supervisory, and non-supervisory staff to integrate the institutional perspective in local operating areas to increase communication, buy-in, standardization, and achieve system-wide goals. Experience Three years of Healthcare Information Systems experience required. Prefer two years Perioperative Services experience. Knowledge of Perioperative Services operations, coding/ billing processes and accreditation preferred. RN preferred. Lean Six Sigma certification preferred. Education Bachelor's degree in nursing, business, or related field preferred.
