Works under shared supervision of the Lead Supervisor and Kitchen Supervisor. Performs work of moderated difficulty in regards to the preparation of foods on a large-scale, commercial-type basis. Responsible for performing work according to specific policies and procedures, producing food according to menus and production sheets, including preparing food for mechanically altered diets. Position will include cleaning the cooking area, assisting in maintaining sanitation throughout kitchen, dish room, pot & pan area, dining area and storage areas, position will also include serving food on a tray assembly line and in the cafe. Must have good customer service skills. May perform other duties as assigned. Position includes shifts between the hours of 6am and 7pm, seven days a week including weekends and holidays.
EXPERIENCE: High School diploma, GED, certificate from a related vocational school. Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of commercial cooking experience in hospital, nursing home or military installation and able to lift up to 40 lbs. Knowledge and experience in the preparation of therapeutic diets preferred. Need to be able to read and write English;

Performs preventive maintenance inspections on HVAC/Refrigeration equipment and systems. Troubleshoots failures and performs corrective maintenance on HVAC/Refrigeration equipment and systems. Installs, recognizes the cause of faulty equipment, makes repairs, modifies and relocates equipment on special purpose air conditioning and refrigeration units and systems. Reviews plans or specifications, determines the size, shape and location of equipment and installs or plans the installation to meet the conditions of the experiment or test. Modifies, alters, or substitutes components and elements of the system in order to meet specific conditions, and accomplishes repairs and modifications to meet conditions required. Diagnoses and corrects malfunctions in electronic pneumatic automatic control system circuits. Performs corrective actions on all types of pneumatic actuated valves, thermostats and associated controls in control air applications.
Installs repairs and replaces pipes and fittings to maintain the heating, water, and drainage systems throughout the hospital. This includes, but is not limited to the heating hot water system, domestic water system, chilled water system and low pressure steam and condensate system. Ability to solder, sweat and braze. Prepares areas where piping work is to be performed by taking apart and securing current systems. Plans the installation of new piping by reading blueprints/schematics to determine how and where to place the piping. Fixes and/or replaces broken pipes and refrigeration/air conditioning equipment in a fashion that prevents leaks. Tests piping lines to ensure they can maintain the proper amount of pressure. Fixes steam systems/boilers by repairing pumps and heat exchanges, removing and replacing coils and replacing valves and associated equipment.
EDUCATION: High School graduate or GED equivalent preferred. Graduate of a trade or vocational school with courses in air conditioning/refrigeration and blueprint reading.
LICENSURE: Journeymans HVACR license preferred and CFC (chlorofluorocarbons) Certification required.
EXPERIENCE: Two years experience in commercial or residential HVAC or completion of approved apprenticeship in HVACR. Ability to operate a computer and use computer software.
