Position Summary

The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) is the leadership position that serves to facilitate communication between traditional health care managers and the clinical delivery team at all locations. He/she is the chief administrative leader responsible for formulating standards of care, the strategic direction for clinical quality and safety within the organization and reports to the CEO. The CMO oversees the Riverside Medical Group, Physician Service Line Chiefs and Medical Education for RHS. The CMO works closely with both administrative staff and members of the medical staff and its leadership to maintain the high quality of medical care and to promote medical staff participation in furthering the mission of the organization. The CMO works to ensure compliance with all quality, legal and regulatory requirements. The CMO works with the leadership of the medical staffs and the various medical facility management teams as well as the medical group leadership to develop and ensure compliance with the RMG physician compact.

The CMO is instrumental in creation and maintenance of Riverside's Community Health Network (employed, independent and academic physicians). Ideal candidates will have robust experience in ACOs, advanced reimbursement models and the design and implementation of clinical protocols.

Education Required

Graduate of an accredited medical school with a MD or DO degree

Job Summary: The CDI Director supports multiple acute care hospitals within the program for Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI). The CDI director implements and provides oversight for the organizational clinical documentation improvement program in an organized and standardized manner, to include the establishment of program success metrics. PACE (Program for All-Inclusive Care of the Elderly) is a community-based program which provides patients with all necessary health services while they stay in their homes. It covers many different types of services including a day center, personal care in the home, home based emergency response system, transportation to appointments, delivery of medical supplies, therapy, as well as inpatient services. JOB SUMMARY:Works under the supervision of the PACE Senior Nurse Manager, oversees the day to day operations of the PACE In-Home Services program. Responsible for all in-home services staff, including RNs, LPNs, Schedulers and Office Assistants. Assists leadership in the policy formation, program development and implementation and annual budgeting. Provides supervisory visits to home care staff (RN, LPN, UCP) in the field to evaluate skills, customer service and general performance. Assists with initial, annual and change in condition assessments as needed in the participant's home environment. Coordinates plan of care with appropriate community resources and the IDT. Acts as the liaison between any contract agencies and PACE, including facility settings such as assisted living and nursing facilities. When appropriate, provides direct care and education to participants and families in the home setting and documents accordingly in the medical record. Communicates changes in participant condition and progress to the IDT and Home Care team members. In the absence of the Sr. Nurse Manager may function in that role as requested by the Site Director. Will serve as a subject matter expert on federal and state regulatory quality reporting requirements (e.g. Core Measures, Meaningful Use) and quality incentive programs (e.g. Value-Based Purchasing, Quality-In-Sights: Hospital Incentive Programs and Hospital Readmission Reduction Program). Job Summary: Works under the direct supervision of the Facility Senior Director of Operations and VP/Administrator. Responsible for identifying and resolving systemic issues within the hospital. In order to identify global problems, the analysts will need to create and analyze numerous standard and ad hoc reports to support operations, including but not limited to, work queues, revenue cycle dashboards, payment variances, denial management, productivity measures, customer service measures, quality indicators, and charge master maintenance for both hospitals and clinics. Deep and broad experience with Revenue Cycle software/systems. Assists with the operational compliance of daily operations of Revenue Cycle departments to include: Medical Records, Registration, Insurance Verification, and ER Registration. Responsibilities include: charge master audits/corrections, compliance reporting relative to patient accounts and billing , chart review audit compliance for patient account authorizations, medical necessity, payments and denial management and correct. Provides leadership, direction and mentorship/support to the staffing needs for the designated specialty area(s). As a Clinical Expert, ensures the provision of clinically competent services by validating staff competency in the provision of a comprehensive range of services/care in accordance with standards of excellence, age-specific and cultural sensitivity established by Riverside Health System and facility goals and strategic plans. Additional Information: Responsible for approximately 35 employees, 3 ORs and 2 procedure/GI lab rooms. 200-240 OR cases per month and approximately 170-300 GI procedures per month. This closely knit OR team has great longevity with employees and experience and low turnover. Staff is cross-trained to GI lab, Pre, Post, and CSR.

Education: BSN or higher required or willing to enroll in program within 6 months and complete BSN within 5 years.
