Riverside Health System currently is seeking a full-time Clinical Documentation Integrity Director.

Job Summary: The CDI Director supports multiple acute care hospitals within the program for Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI). The CDI director implements and provides oversight for the organizational clinical documentation improvement program in an organized and standardized manner, to include the establishment of program success metrics. The Director insures the CDI team completes admission reviews of patient records to (a) evaluate documentation to assign the principal diagnosis, pertinent secondary diagnoses, and procedures for accurate and optimal DRG assignment; (b) evaluate appropriateness of documentation to support quality standards; (c) initiate a review worksheet; and (c) coordinate documentation queries to providers from all team members seeking to improve documentation accuracy (CDI members, Coding and Revenue Cycle team members, Care Management/Utilization Review team members). The Director insures CDI team members conduct timely follow up and prompt providers regarding missing, unclear or conflicting medical record documentation. The CDI Director collaborates with HIMS, Revenue Cycle and CM/UR regarding education and support of providers. The CDI Director participates in the analysis and trending of statistical data for specified patient populations to identify opportunities for improvement. The Director participates in chart reviews as needed, conducts data and root cause analysis and provides feedback and findings with leadership. The Director recruits, hires and trains CDI staff that will function at the organizations hospitals and designs staffing programs, cross coverage, etc. that ensures efficiency and stability in the program. The CDI Director serves as an expert resource in reviewing documentation requirements for all payer types (CMS, RAC, Medicare Advantage, Commercial payors, etc).

As a Clinical Expert, ensures the provision of clinically competent services by validating staff competency in the provision of a comprehensive range of services/care in accordance with standards of excellence, age-specific and cultural sensitivity established by Riverside Health System and facility goals and strategic plans. The System Director oversees compliance with accreditation and other regulatory requirements through both practice and policy by participating in all preparation activities, participation in survey processes and leading survey response activities related to infection control.

Experience Requirements: Extensive and broad experience in Infection Prevention. Progressive leadership experience which provided opportunities-to develop management skills. Knowledge of regulations, policies, procedures, accreditation standards required.

Education/Certification Requirements: Registered Nurse, BSN required, Masters degree preferred but experience considered in lieu of degree. Certification in Infection Control required.

System Director, Service Excellence

Riverside Health System is seeking a System Director, Service Excellence for a position in Newport News, VA.

Job Summary: The System Director of Patient Experience provides strategic direction and leadership to accomplish results in all customer satisfaction areas. Provides coaching to leaders and staff through site visits, personal coaching and training to ensure staff at all levels of the organization are competent to support the delivery of patient centered care.

Evaluates results to identify opportunities for improvement in customer satisfaction and patient experience.

Provides recommendations, reviews action plans, and helps to drive established timeline for improvement. Collaborates with System CNO and Facility Leadership to review results and develop division strategies for improvement in performance.

Helps to assess employee and physician engagement as related to patient experience. Develops targeted coaching plans and improvement goals to improve results.

Collaborates with Medical Leadership to identify opportunities for engaging physicians in patient experience improvement activities.

Provides one-on-one and team/department coaching for division and facility leadership as well as staff that targets improving customer satisfaction and patient experience.

Develops specific curriculum and materials as needed to facilitate an exceptional patient experience that support performance standards throughout Division facilities.

Provides strategic direction and oversight for System Customer Satisfaction and Patient Centered Care.

Education: Masters Degree (Healthcare related field, organizational development or business hospitality) required.

Experience:

10-12 years of progressive experience in management (people and operations) as well as coaching facilitation for large organizations in the area of customer service required.

Hospital clinical experience required Nursing experience preferred

History of accomplished results required.

Trayline Supervisor

Riverside Regional Medical Center located in Newport News, VA is seeking a labor pool Tray Line Supervisor.The Tray Line Supervisor works under the supervision of the Manager. Directly responsible for monitoring all work related to the assembly and delivery of patient and visitor meals including: food quality, line set-up/breakdown, presentation, portion control, sanitation, productivity, PI audits/customer service surveys/satisfaction, and all other activities related to patient/visitor meals for all service times. Performs duties relative to accurate cash handling. Additionally, the supervisor is responsible for employees adherence to hospital and departmental policies and procedures; and assist the Lead Supervisor in maintaining appropriate staffing and fair scheduling of all employees within area of responsibility. May perform other duties as assigned.

Educational Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred. Must be able to read and write English.

Certification/Licensure Requirements

Food Handlers card or ServSafe required.
