Pilot program could help uninsured - The Riverside Foundation donated $1 million
One million Virginians — 15 percent of the state's population — don't have health insurance. A proposed pilot program funded partly by a Riverside Foundation donation will attempt to insure the uninsured in Hampton Roads.

Two more Riverside patients test positive for hepatitis C - The medical center is still trying to reach 23 people to schedule screenings.
Two more former Riverside patients have tested positive for hepatitis C, bringing the total to three, a Riverside spokesman said Monday. Riverside Regional Medical Center is providing precautionary screenings to about 300 patients who may have come in contact with a nurse anesthetist who worked there July 9 through Dec. 22.

One Riverside patient tests positive for hepatitis C
Riverside started screening patients last week, after officials learned that a nurse anesthetist who worked there last year was suspected of infecting up to 15 patients in Texas in 2004. "We do not have any reason to believe this one case is linked to the nurse anesthetist," said Peter Glagola, public relations director. The patient who tested positive has been contacted, he said.

First 120 test negative for hepatitis C - Riverside hospital is still trying to reach some people who might have been infected by a former employee.
Test results are in for 120 Riverside patients screened for hepatitis C, and they all came back negative. Riverside Regional Medical Center started screening patients last week after officials discovered that a man who'd worked there last year was suspected of infecting up to 15 patients in Texas in 2004.
